Upon successful completion of
Instructor Training, Instructor's must be available to
instruct classes at least 2 Saturdays per month. Instructors
must be interested, able and willing to teach Youth classes such as
"Babysitting" and "When I'm In Charge" in addition to other Health and
Safety courses. |

| Responsibilities: |
This
position conducts American Red Cross Health and Safety, Youth and
Community Services (HSYCS) courses at the Red Cross Training Center and
various sites within the Oregon Trail Chapter service delivery area,
including businesses and general public settings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Instructs
American Red Cross HSYCS courses (CPR, First Aid, AED, Babysitter, When
I'm In Charge, Blood bourne pathogens) in accordance with
National American Red Cross and Oregon Trail Chapter guidelines,
standards and customer expectations.

Available to instruct 8 hours per week (32 hours per month).
- Transports all course equipment and materials, following HSYCS supply room procedures.
- Completes and returns all required course paperwork within 72 business hours.
- Promotes and
supports HSYCS financial goals in product and emergency preparedness
sales. Consistently cross-sells product in all classes.
- Promotes and
represents the mission of the American Red Cross and the Oregon Trail
Chapter to all class participants and customers in a professional
manner.
- Participates as a team member of HSYCS to achieve departmental training goals.
- Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.

| Qualifications: |
Education and/or Experience
High
school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three
months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of
education and experience that indicates skills and abilities in a
classroom instruction setting.
Successful completion of American Red Cross Instructor Course.

Demonstrates awareness of own cultural views and attitudes as well as of
different cultures. Is able to facilitate partnerships, communicate
both internally and externally and conduct service delivery
cross-culturally.

Ability

duties. Ability to learn from volunteer knowledge, skills and
experiences. Ability to share your knowledge, skills and abilities with
volunteers.
