Business Support Specialist

Responsibilities:

Using initiative, strong customer service skills and good judgement, the Business Support Specialist is responsible for the entire business flow in the delivery of full service training classes in Oregon, and for all subsequent tracking and recording.

  • Maintain excellent oral and written communication with both internal and external clients
  • Process records, certifications, and bill for all full service classes statewide
  • Compile end of month tracking of product revenue, instructor commissions, sales team commissions and online purchases
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
  • Resolve invoice questions
  • Continually databases to ensure systems function fluidly
  • Process and track all payments made to chapter by check
  • Serve as department point of contact for scholarship and invoice tracking
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or GED required, Bachelors degree preferred, with two years experience in accounting and database management. . Ability to display a positive attitude while prioritizing and accomplishing multiple tasks, maintaining flexibility and working with a sense of urgency to fulfill the needs of the team.  A strong customer service background is preferred.

 

 

 

Computer Skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite. Advanced skills in word processing, spreadsheet and databases. Skills and experience with Salesforce, SABA, and Point of Sale preferred.

Ability to interact effectively with people of different cultures. Demonstrates awareness of own cultural views and attitudes as well as of different cultures. Is able to facilitate partnerships, communicate both internally and externally and conduct service delivery cross-culturally.

 

 

Volunteer Engagement

Ability to meaningfully engage, manage and work with volunteers in all facets of job duties. Ability to learn from volunteer knowledge, skills and experiences. Ability to share knowledge, skills and abilities with volunteers.

 

 

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

 

 

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, promotions, commissions, and training fees.

 

 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Salary: $13-$16 per hour DOE
