| Responsibilities: |
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Administrative Support to the Executive Director (which includes, but is not limited to):
- Drafts,
distributes, tracks, and mails correspondence, communication,
newsletters, and memos including managing all acknowledgment letters
for major donations.
- Provides
administrative coordination and support for meetings and activities of
the Board of Directors and other volunteer leadership
committees. Coordinates meeting arrangements and mailings and
ensures that meetings, decisions, follow-up topics are appropriately
documented and distributed.
- Maintains confidentiality with regard to sensitive or proprietary information.
- Manages,
organizes, and maintains major donor, planned giving, and corporate
files in Prospect Engagement and Raisers Edge database, spread sheets,
other electronic forms and in a paper file system.
- Makes
appointments with donors and tracks donor calls and visits for
Executive Director, and members of the Board of Directors as needed.
Office Administration (which includes, but is not limited to):
- Customer service and general hospitality. Answers and screens telephone calls and door traffic.
- Uses good judgment and decision making.
- Positively handles internal and external public relations.
- Performs
reconciliation of department credit card statements, coordinates, codes
and tracks invoice processing, and assists with revenue and expense
budgeting and tracking.
- Reads and routes incoming mail. Prepares outgoing mail and correspondence, including e-mail and faxes.
- Organizes and maintains file system, and files correspondence and other records.
- Upon request, may attend Chapter Board Meetings.
- Assist in recruitment, training and supervision of volunteers for assistance with job duties.
Health & Safety Programs (which includes, but is not limited to):
- Assist in development and publishing of course schedules for Health & Safety classes.
- Maintain computer and file system for instructors and classes sponsored by the Red Cross Chapter.
- Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.

| Qualifications: |
Education and/or Experience
High
school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year
general office support and related experience and/or training; or
equivalent combination of education and experience.
Cultural Competency
Ability
to interact effectively with people of different cultures.
Demonstrates awareness of own cultural views and attitudes as well as of
different cultures. Is able to facilitate partnerships, communicate
both internally and externally and conduct service delivery
cross-culturally.
Volunteer Management
Ability
to meaningfully engage and work with volunteers in all facets of job
duties. Ability to learn from volunteer knowledge, skills and
experiences. Ability to share knowledge, skills and abilities with
volunteers. |

$11-$13/hour DOE |
